Accident insurance (in Croatia and abroad) Covers the risk of permanent disability or death as a result of accident, provided the death occurs within 30 days following the accident. Luggage / flight delay Covers the risk of luggage or flight delay at least 4 hours after the time indicated on the ticket. Trip cancellation or interruption Covers expenses paid to the travel agency for trips cancelled due to serious illness of the insured person or a close relative, injury or death of the insured person or close relative, job loss, quarantine and judicial obligations. Covers return ticket or transport expenses back to Croatia if the trip was interrupted due to the death of a close relative. Medical assistance (in Croatia and abroad) In the event of illness or accident during the trip, insurance covers expenses of hospitalisation, surgery, prescription medications, emergency dental care and transport with the insurer’s prior approval. Assistance during travel 1) Covers the cost of legal protection in civil and criminal lawsuits instigated against the insured person during an international trip and the financial expenses payable to international courts in the event of such lawsuits. 2) If the insured person gets ill or has an accident on a business trip lasting over 3 days and requires hospitalisation for more than 5 days, the insurer will cover necessary expenses of repatriation back to the country of residence and travel expenses of a co-worker to replace such insured person on the business trip. 3) The insurer shall approve 1,000 EUR financial assistance in the event of stolen or lost luggage, provided the insured person returns such amount within 3 months after his return to Croatia. The insurer shall cover necessary communication expenses until the insured person’s return to Croatia.
